Scholarship
I am grateful to have received a scholarship for the HAWOCC in support for my graduate school aspirations. I would not be the healthcare provider I am today without this organization.Preceptorship
Gain experience and knowledge through working with a local wound, ostomy, and continence nurse.
Active membership criteria:
- Renewal fee waiver
- Consideration for scholarship
- Participate in 2 business meetings in person or online: (Jan, March, May, July, September, Annual Retreat) AND Participate in 2 Community Service Activities
- Serve as an officer or committee chair or co-chair
- Participate in 2 business meetings in person or online AND Participate in 1 Community Service Activity (flight arrangements to be determined if event is on Oahu). Note: If active in “on-island” pre-event planning, preparations and assisting on the day of the event more than 8 hours, this can count as one community service event
- Serve as an officer or committee chair or co-chair
Meetings
Benefits being a member includes networking with other WOC providers and making connections to enhance professional growth. Education/Informational offerings held with each meeting every other month to stay current with evidence based practice and new products and developments. Membership will also provide opportunities to work with other members; this includes patient outreach/support, community and professional education.
