Hawai’i Bowel, Ostomy and Bladder Support (BOBS) Connect
Hawaii “BOBS” Connect is located on Oahu however accessible virtually for those unable to attend physically, including neighbor island members. BOBS is committed to meeting the needs of island residents, visitors, parents/families of individuals from all age groups (infants to elderly) who had, have, or will be having an (incontinent or continent) bowel or bladder diversion or are afflicted with a urinary/bowel condition(s). Our support group provides a place where (like-minded) people can share concerns, experiences, fears and accomplishments. Education on various topics is provided at every meeting to address concerns raised by the members. Caregivers, family and health care providers are welcomed to the meetings.
Our Goals & Objectives
The goal of the Hawai’i Bowel, Ostomy and Bladder Support (BOBS) Connect is to serve as a local support group to assist individuals and their families who have had or will be having a bowel or bladder diversion (continent or incontinent) or have intestinal and/or bladder conditions.
Our objectives are to provide: education, an opportunity for networking, product and supply information, tips on lifestyle adjustment, and a visitor program
Meeting Days/Times/Location
Currently our meetings are held monthly on Sundays. Selected meetings are extended virtually so that members that unable to attend in person can join in.
In person meetings are held from 1pm-2:30pm at Jodo Mission of Hawaii.
